Option 1 — Delete in the app
The fastest way is directly in the Drevva app.
- Open the Drevva app and sign in.
- Go to your account or profile screen.
- Tap Delete Account.
- Confirm when prompted. This action cannot be undone.
Option 2 — Request by email
If you can no longer access the app, email us and we'll process the deletion for you.

Send your request from the email address on your Drevva account, with the subject line "Account deletion request". Include the phone number registered to the account so we can verify it's yours.

When your account is deleted, we delete or anonymise the personal information associated with it, including:
- Your name, email address, and phone number
- Your profile and account settings
- Your saved vehicles and addresses
- Location data associated with your account
- Photos you uploaded
- In-app messages
- For mechanics: verification details, including your National Identification Number, workshop information, references, and payout details
What we may keep, and why
Some records are retained after account deletion where we are legally required or permitted to keep them:
- Financial and transaction records — wallet transactions and payouts are retained for as long as required by applicable Nigerian financial recordkeeping regulations, which may extend beyond account closure.
- Dispute and fraud records — retained where needed to investigate or resolve a dispute, or to prevent fraud and abuse.
Retained records are limited to what is necessary for those purposes. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
Deleting some data without closing your account
You don't have to delete your whole account to have specific data removed. Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act you can ask us to delete particular information we hold about you — for example a saved vehicle, a saved address, an uploaded photo, or stored location data — while keeping your account active.
Email support@drevva.com from the address on your account, with the subject line "Data deletion request", and tell us what you'd like removed. We'll confirm once it's done.
Some records may still be retained where we are legally required to keep them — see the section above.
How long it takes
In-app deletion takes effect immediately. Email requests are actioned within the timeframe required by the Nigeria Data Protection Act, and we'll confirm by email once complete.
